Cam model contests are time-limited competitions where performers climb a leaderboard based on viewer support — usually tips, virtual gifts, or votes — and the top finishers win cash bonuses, prizes, or extra promotion. XBIZ’s equivalent ceremony has run as the “XMAs” since 2025. These are decided by a mix of industry judges and public fan voting, announced months in advance, and they reward a career rather than a single weekend’s earnings.
How viewer voting actually works
On the platform-contest side, there is rarely a separate “vote” button. The leaderboard reads directly from spending: every token you tip, every gift you send, and sometimes every paid private minute during the contest window pushes your favorite model up the standings. The higher she climbs, the bigger her cut of the prize pool. That is why models talk up an active contest in chat — a normal night’s tips suddenly counts toward something concrete.
Industry awards are the exception: those genuinely do have fan-voting pages where you register and pick one name per category, one vote per account, over a set voting period that closes weeks before the ceremony.

Prize pools are typically split on a sliding scale — first place might take a few hundred dollars, with smaller amounts paid down to 15th or 20th. But the cash is often the smaller prize.
